Why are some people offended by profanity?

also, what business of yours is it if I choose to SAY certain WORDS? are you trying to tell me what I can and can't say? how dare you! anyways, back to the point.

Profane originally meant not of the church. for example, "The black smith is the only profane building in town". you're offended because it's not of the church, which means you're closed minded. or just sensitive. I used to be made fun of and picked on. when I would tell my grandma about it, she would say it's just air comming out of their mouths. so I say to you, it's xjust air comming out of my mouth. there's no need to dwell on it and be offended by it. if I say f uc-k, sh!t, dam n, piss, or anything else that's considered a curse word,just don't be offended and no one will have any problems.
Oh, and this is in this section because it was the first one recomended by Yahoo. Also you religious folk seem to be the most offended by curse words, what with having your kids afraid to use certain single words.
