Why does DC have so many characters with Man, Woman, Girl, Boy, Lad, Lass or Lady, Maid, or Maiden, etc. in the title? SuperMAN, Wonder WOMAN, BatMAN, BatGIRL, AquaMAN, AquaLAD, HawkMAN, HawkGIRL, CatWOMAN, Wonder GIRL, Phantom LADY, etc. and not to mention characters like the ones on the list of the Legion of Superheroes roster (Lightning LASS, Sun BOY, Ferro LAD, etc.) Marvel, as far as Know, only has a handful of characters like that (Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Iron Man, Wonder Man, Ultragirl, Marvel Girl, etc.)
Is it just easy to slap a prefix on Man, Boy, Lass, Woman, Girl, etc. and call it a superhero or supervillain?
Hi hoochand magic. I didn't put a lot of thought into this-I;m just pointing out the obvious.
I forgot characters like SuperBOY, SuperWOMAN, SuperGIRL, BatWOMAN. Marvel had Power Man.
