you havent shown me any evidence "evidence is the universal aggrement of the fact wich isn't the case so state yours with the god thing and stop forcing it on people, the goverment,,, this country ..this country would be like europe without this bullsh!t...better off and the people are more content with life with lesser crime rates less wars ...religion fails in the end especially for the us who have been in numerious wars throughout history as we wknow

Most religious beliefs start at a young age, within the family. So it's built into their mindset not to question what their family, the ones who they love and trust believe in. It's just a chain reaction, and the easier way of accepting the confusing complexities of why we are here. That's why people can be narrow minded. However, somehow people find morality in these texts, and it does prove to provide a innocent, family/community based way of life. You can't argue that religion does not bring people together, whether it is for good or bad. Religion has as much good, as it does bad. If people would stop taking it so seriously, and just be a good person for themselves, their family, and their communities, it would create a more comfortable living planet for all human beings. For some ODD reason, religious people do not want to accept this, and rather rage war against each other in the name of their God to prove a point that was soooooooooooooooooooooo far lost ago, that it's not even funny anymore.
To each their own really, but honestly can't we all agree that there should be no harm upon others for their beliefs and leave it at that? Casual debating is perfectly acceptable, and mature. War, death, and destruction is not. We as humans know this based on society, not the bible. If it was the other way around, we would be living like the people did when it was written. But we are not, what so ever.

"...religion fails in the end"
You seem pretty close-minded, yourself.
Religion isn't a bad thing. It all just comes down to how people handle it. You're right in saying it's wrong to force your religion on someone, but I've seen just as many of my fellow atheists be total d**** to religious people with their "evidence."
My opinion?
Diversity is beautiful.
