Why can't Christians understand the question of how did the gospels originate?

Where did the gospels come from and who were their authors.

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John could have been anyone. Logic itself proves that Matthew, Mark etc could have been asian, african, mexican any race. Where is their background history of their life outside the gospel scriptures? Who in the world were these men?

I do understand the question of how the gospels originated. In detail.

And there is no logical reason to believe that any of them were anything but Jews.
