Why did Al Sharpton's rally yell and rant about Glenn Beck's rally?

When Al is a reverend and Glenn Beck only spoke about bringing god and honor back into the American mindset? Why were Al and his speakers so angry at the whole Glenn Beck rally?

It wasn't political, it was about honoring our military men and women, being the best human being you can possibly be and acknowledging God's role in our lives.. I was there, just a couple hundred feet from the podium. I heard every single word, saw all the speakers, and that's all it was about, nothing else. Who could object to that???

Were Al Sharpton's speakers just angry that Alveda King supported Glenn's message? Were they pissed off that Glenn got the permit for the Lincoln steps? Or are they just bitter, hateful people who didn't even know what Glenn's rally was about and still wanted to bash him anyway?
@ JWB - Obama's name was not mentioned once in the entire rally. I was there, honey.
@ demo man - here ya go! maybe you'll learn something.

notice the differences in the attitudes here... Beck's rally was not hateful, guess who's was.

Sharpton has really become a caricature of himself. And the sad thing is that Beck had discussed the concept of Faith, Hope, and Charity with Sharpton on his show a number of months ago. Sharpton endorsed the idea. And then Sharpton turns around and acts like the rally was a huge affront to him.

Honestly, did you go to Glen Beck's rally to get what you got?
When Glen Beck began to promote this rally, was it all about "God" and the troops?
I live here in DC and I can tell you, there were people "looking for blood."
I saw the propaganda, the flags, the t-shirts that demagogued the President.
I saw the interview where Glen Beck called the President a "raciist who has a deep-seeded hatred of White people."
That's why Sharpton and whomever else "yelled and ranted" about Glen Beck's rally.

Al Sharpton loves controversy. He is crooked as as dogs hind leg.

...Ol'Al is just the poster-boy for "race-bating" ! (...he's been doing this for decades !) "if" you don't agree with Ol'Al, you're just a raciest and a bigot! (Someone needs to remind Ol'Al about the Twanna Brawley case of a few years ago !) Ol'Al doesn't like to be reminded about that one !

guess there's no accounting for the thought process of a person
confronted left right and centre in a round room.....
no corners to run to

Sharpton is a liberal.

Being positive is not in a liberals DNA.

They must have contrast and confrontation.

They must tear down anything that is perceived to be good as not so good and elevate everything that is bad as not so bad.

It doesn't matter that the president is black. It doesn't matter that the US is the most inclusive country in the world, liberals will look for racism in every dark shaddow and report it found whether it's there or not.

First of all, Al Sharpton is a number one, race pimp. If he thinks he can add money to his bank account over a racial incident, then he's all over it trying to extort money from people who have a different opinion from him. Anybody who gives credence to Al Shaprton is wasting their time. He is a nobody. He's a want-to-be Jessie Jackson who is the biggest race pimp of all time.

Now about Glen Beck, Glenn is no dummy and he has tapped into the sentiments of many in this country. He feels he can help many to bring their opinions to the forefront. Many Amerians feel the way the government is taking the country s counter to those things that made our country strong. I think Glenn knows this and he is using that sentiment to get personal recognition for himself. Bottom line, Glenn is a media show dog and he too will do what is necessary to get more money in his bank account. As is Sharpton, Glenn is a want-to-be Rush Limbaugh.

In my opinion, none of these guys is a guy you should pin your hopes on, but given the choice, I would more follow Glenn Beck because at least he listens to the people who want to make American stronger. Sharpton's crowd is a group of people with an "entitlement mentality".

Because racism is an equal opportunity human fault.
Blacks can also be racist, sometimes even MORE racist.

Um...no....

Dr King's son attended and marched with Sharpton...Dr King's opportunistic niece worried no one.

Ask yourself....why is a Mormon who is being attacked by many Christian groups trying to pretend he is a mainstream Christian who just wants to talk about God?

Take a look at the below and maybe you will understand the concerns people have with Beck's message of false Gospel.

"The "Restoring Honor" rally was a good idea to promote the values of America. However, when Beck ventured into the realm of "revival", his beliefs are open to scrutiny.

Despite mentioning God, Beck's Mormonism and other false religions promote a false gospel. "I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ." (Galatians 1:6-7)

He accuses President Obama of false theology. Beck is hypocritical as the Mormon church has propagated deception for years. "

Al Sharpton and his peeps are only interested in provoking and stirring up hate. How awful to slam Glenn's attempt to unite, simply because he is a white man.

Ugh... I hate Glenn Beck. But i will never defend Al Sharpton. Glenn has every right to hold a rally and say whatever he wants to say. That is his First Amendment right. Sharpton is just a douche who uses racism to get in the spotlight and make a profit. I rarely agree with Beck on anything. But i really doubt he is a racist. And even if he was, it's not illegal to be racist. Again, Sharpton is just looking to sidestep intellectual debate and make a quick dollar by playing the race card. Its pathetic.
