Why did God lie to us about having free will?

God says "You can have free will, believe and do whatever you want.... but if you use that free will to stray away from me.... I WILL FLOOD THE WORLD AND KILL EVERYONE HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

God says "You can have free will, believe and do whatever you want.... but if you use that free will to kill Jewish men and boys, I will kill all of YOUR first born sons"

so much for free will.... apparently I didn't read the fine print at the bottom of the page...
 
Not true. Although I might punch you in the face.
 
This is an easy conflict to resolve.

God's free will surpasses our more limited free will. :close look:
