...tax deductions for the wealthy? 'We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share! In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s CRAZY!"
-Ronald Reagan

Democrats should play this speech on a non-stop loop, as FoxNews did with the 10 second Rev Wright clip.
dvwii - Obama wants to eliminate deductions that the wealthy abuse, flattening their taxes, and y'all are screaming like babies. Explain that.

And he lowered taxes for all long term. And in return, we got a prosperous economy.

Too bad the Marxist Fraud doesn't understand this.

HA AH AHA A

That's from a speech about lowering the rate.....a lot. FYI: Cain would close them all. So I'm guessing he has your vote.

Classic example of taking something out of context on purpose. Reagan was lowering the rate at the same time. Obama wants to raise it.

And yet the democrats in his congress like the ones in the current congress never bother to close those loopholes? Do you ask yourself why with 3 years of absolute power they didn't?

Because despite all his faults (and there were a few) Reagan was part of a Republican Party that honestly did have the best interests of the USA at heart.

Because back then there was still at least a tiny shred of decency left in the Republican Party. f

LOL......Democrats controlled Congress from 1952 to 1994. Who makes the tax laws, loopholes and all? Do you still think they should play his speech non stop? The "they" in his speech is Democrats.

Well, maybe they could get away with it since their supporters don't seem to understand the role of Congress.

Because he's a republican, and republicans are against tax loopholes.

There's a reason the Fair-Tax, Cain's 999 and other systems are all republican creations.
