They wanted to scare and kill some of us disgusting Americans. It was a msg really. We had the largest buildings, strongest military, and were the greatest economic power in the world. so they destroyed our largest buildings, damaged our military HQ, and cost us Billions of dollars. It was a msg against our life stile.

They was part of the radical belief in the organization Taliban. To ask this question is like asking, why did the Jonestown people kill themselfs, why did Charles Manson murder, why did Hitler kill the Jews? The reason is the product of their belief it make no sense to us but it is what happen when you belief something so strongly even though its wrong.

bin Laden wanted to launch a jihads war against Saudi Arabia and Israel to take over the holy sites of Islam and impose Sharia law like in Afghanistan. The problem was that after the real Gulf War the U.S. had established permanent bases in Saudi Arabia so bin Laden needed a way to draw them out. The simple solution was to attack the U.S. and draw us into a war, he thought that the nations if Islam would take up the cause and back him in a war with the U.S. thus strengthening his position to take over the Middle East.

His plan almost worked when bush invaded Iraq.

these nutcases will attack anywhere just to draw attention to themselves and their so called cause, trade centre simply had more impact because of its location. it should be remembered these are total lunatics with no morals or principles and human life means nothing to them. quicker they are eradicated the better. they should not be treated as human beings they forfeited that right many years ago
