Why do celebrities think they can influence us by accepting gays?

They didn't influence me to smoke.
They didn't influence me to wear makeup, I wore makeup only 2 times, just for pictures purpose.... and those Cover Girl commercial is dumb.
They didn't influence me to drink Pepsi, I like drinking Coca Cola.
They didn't influence me to be skinny, I am average weight 130 pounds, wear size 10/12.
They didn't influence me to go join Scientology Church.

I don't want to be like them.

I remember when I was in High School, 1990, when Madonna was dancing and kissing girls... I closed my eyes...
I didn't go around and kiss girls.

And when I watch violent movies, I don't go around shooting folks.

So why celebrities think they can influence us by accepting gays?

They can't even make me become Democrat.
 
they aren't trying to influence you to be gay, they're saying to be tolerant. Don't care what you do, this is a free country

Because there are people that are stupid enough to let celebrities almost influence them for some reason. I agree with you, I don't like celebrities either, they definetly don't form anything in my life. Oh I don't hate gays, I just dont like celebrities
 
dude its not like they want you to become gay or anything they just want you to be nice to everybody. you dont have to accept it i mean i have friends who dont but they accept me for me and tolerate the fact that i am gay. just like i accept my friends who are smokers, and my friends who do weed, and my friends who are cheerleaders, i might not like it but i tolerate that one thing that i dont like because i still really care for them as a friend and as a person.
 
because a lot of people look up to celebrities, and everyone really knows that gays should be accepted in modern society. so when someone they idolize says accept gays, and you know its right, people will most likely accept it.
just because they dont influence YOU doesnt mean they dont influence others.
