That is a very good point. Some christians say they don't worship the cross so that it is okay but they fail to read the commandments properly.
It is very explicit that they should not MAKE ANY images or likenesses of anything in Heaven or on Earth, which includes likenesses of Jesus whether on a cross, on a piece of antique fabric, on a slice of toast or on a pizza and worship them, yet hundreds of thousands of christians travel around the world to visit specific artefacts, like the shroud of Turin or some statue that cried blood every year. They also hold their crosses when they pray or pray before a symbol of Christ or adorn their buildings with their symbols so they can be with christ all day etc. It's all fundamentally wrong according to the Bible.
All such practices are technically against the 10 commandments as written by Moses; the Jehovah's Witnesses believe in the literal translation of this text and you won't catch them wearing crosses or adorning the office with symbols of their faith. Now if they'd just stop knocking on the door on Sunday morning when I'm having a lay in.....
