Why do fans always make fun of MMA fighters or other athletes when they lose?

I mean, they werent in the octagon, they didnt fight they're not on the gridiron. Why are people so ignorant when it comes to this sort of stuff? They talk and criticize like they were experts but havent stepped in the athletes shoes. I would understand if it was one professional athlete criticizing another b/c they're on the same level.

Because they're really STUPID, ignorant losers who are just watching them fight because of hype or something.

This really gets to me as well and usually it's just because the people know next to NOTHING about MMA and just are there to watch, drink, hoot, holler and shout.
Grrr...
