I have been asked to go to the police station. 2 months ago I was a manager at a bar and we had £2000 get stolen from the safe at night. I gave a statment and had my accomadation searched and they found nothing from the theft. I know my now former employer to the police I had money problems and are trying to pin this on me. I now go a phone from the police saying they need to see me in reguard to the theft but it has to be at the station. I now live over 100 miles away and its going to be hard for me to get there. I told the officer this and he told me to give him a call when I have been able to arrange something.
Are they asking me there to charge me? If so would they not have issues a warrent and came for me as i gave them my new address as soon as i moved.
The crime is in Scotland so i know there laws are different.
What should I do?
