The fact is Harem is not a genre that's meant to be taken seriously and no studio is gonna dedicate its time to Harem anime as much as they do to more popular stuff like Naruto or Bleach, so you can't expect Harem to be great and shouldn't expect big things out of them. Of ALL Harem that have come out, how many are actually great? So FEW, notably Ranma 1/2 and Tenchi Universe and Urusei Yatsura (if that counts, i've seen few eps so far), that's about it. The whole point of Harem is just to be for cheap entertainment and some laughs, that's why most of them last only 13 episodes.
