Why do people discriminate against gays WAAAY more than they do to lesbians?

What ticks me off is that most of the U.S discriminates against gay ppl, but dont really discriminate against lesbians as much? To me it's stupid. Im not gay but one of my friends are and kids at school kept throwing rocks at him and bullying him while the school lesbians are being admired by all of the jocks. I dont mind lesbians and gays, but it doesnt mean there should be a difference in treatment between the 2 relationship types. like i said, im not gay and i think this is wrong to gays.and even so its wrong to discriminate against gays AND lesbians it maybe cute to see two girls kissing but i still think ppl should accept gays and lesbians no questions asked.
I KNOW BI PPL ARE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST TOO IM NOT DISCRIMINATIONG AGAINST BI GAY LESBIAN OR TRANSGENDERED PPL OK I DONT MIND ANYTHING THAT GOES ON IN PPLS LIVES UNLESS IT PHYSICALLY HURTS ME!!!!

Anyway...because lesbians don't suck on D_ICKS still caked with the sh*t from their own anuses.
 
funny because I've only seen the opposite at my old high school. The gay guys are really popular and liked by the girly girls, most guys don't say anything, and certainly don't to anything. However, the lesbians are hated by the girls and teased by the guys. The only lesbians praised are the ones in porn, or obvious fake ones.

Ultimately I'm saying the modern discrimination between gay men and lesbians is different in different places, but overall is so miniscule that you can't really say one is more discriminated against. In fact throughout most of history lesbians have be hated on more.
 
The Bible says that a man should not lie with another man as he does with a woman. It says nothing about female homosexuality. Also, our image of men is that they are not supposed to be close to each other, unless it's in a brotherly or fatherly capacity. With women, people don't mind as much if they show that they are very close. People tend to dislike it if their social boundaries are compromised.
 
lesbians are "gays".
gay means sex liking same sex.
but yeah. i'm not really sure why people are more uneasy about gay men than they are about gay women..most men find lesbians attractive i guess. i think discriminating against anyone, especially for something they can't control, is just..horrible. tell your friend to hang in there because it gets better after high school and i hope he never feels ashamed of who he is :)

They aren't.

Sweetie, les girls get completely bullied by other girls and excluded by them. They can't go to places cos stupid girls think cos there's other girls there. it's stupid. And actually many people find two guys kissing cute, I do. So stfu and get your facts, it's equal - and excuse me but i could say you're discriminating against bi people by not meantioning them so stuf

lesbians are viewed as disaffected women, not a threat.
gay males on the other hand have to ( until they root the offenders from the " community") face daily tarrings with the same brush applied to these gay men.
