Why do people lie about "knowing" for sure their religion is the only true one?
Have whatever faith you want and that is fine....I am curious though why people often say they KNOW for a fact they are right when it is belief, faith that they have...not knowledge.
It is same as saying I Nknow for a pure 100% fact that next time I go on a drive I will not have an accident in any way. I believe I will not, I have faith in my driving skills but there is always that chance that I could have an accident..so i don't lie and say I know for a fact.
Why is the afterlife, something NO ONE can actually know, different? Why do people fight and harrass others because they "know" they are right and why would God not be unhappy with the lies of people claiming their belief as pure fact?
Isn't being humble accepting that you could be wrong no matter how strong you believe so not aggrandizing yourself?
