Why do people think "The Devil Inside" was so terrible?

I just don't understand. I thought this movie was actually one of the scariest and interesting horror films i have ever seen. For once the acting was decent, there was a good plot line, but I think the ending was the only thing that made people hate it. The only two things I'm against are the ending and how short the movie was/felt.
What are your opinions?
