How interesting, earlier you were complaining about how evolution was being taught in schools and how people should get their kids in church.

Many know that it is more or less a 50/50 chance that God exists. The tough thing is that it cannot be proved or disproved. They figure if they are wrong and there is no life or awareness on the other side, then when they die they will never know about all the fun they mist, living life to the fullest in a more hedonistic fashion. On the other hand, it could be true and if you hedged your bet wrong, look out!

I think this is called Pascal's wager. As an analogy there are two executive jets sitting in Las Vegas.
You choose one of the two and will be paid 50 million dollars to fly to New York. The only catch is that one of the jets will have a barometrically calibrated bomb set to go off at 30,000 feet. Will you take a 50/50 for that risk? I see many people are in that mind set with respect to religious beliefs.

People will say projection theory.

That argument is debunked when looking at other religion and non-religion (atheism) formation.
 
why do you waste time trying to prove us wrong? If there is no God, then why do you care if we think there is one?
 
Believing in a higher being soothes their soul. They don't like the idea of nothingness. God isn't a physical being. God is more of a presence. People need faith in order to believe in such an awkward notion.

I have no idea how people come to the conclusion that their religion is the true religion. Noone knows what is true.
 
Always keep in mind that GOD is God and almighty's existence can not be denied.Forget about the way of worshiping GOD by different communities in different style.God exists in you also and you cannot deny your own existence.
 
because, and i am speaking as an open-minded agnostic here, he could be real as there is no proof to say he doesn't exist. in my re class i saw some videos of real miracles and my jehovah's witness friend told me about her mum's friends who were seemingly protected by angels.
they 'waste their time' because it is what they choose to believe. let them believe that because you never know, they might be right.

But there is proof that the God Yahweh exists. The food and hygiene laws written for the human race to follow 3500 years ago in the book of Leviticus are based on someones working knowledge of the germ theory. How many humans alive on Earth had a working knowledge of the germ theory 3500 years ago? You are right 0 did. So that means that the owner of this scientific mind that did have a working knowledge of the germ theory 3500 years ago to have written these food and hygiene laws for the human race in Leviticus to follow wasn't any human alive on Earth back then.
 
Obviously there is more than one difinition of proof here. I'm completely satisfied with mine. God fits all the criteria for being real.

Leave my proof alone and I won't question yours.
