Why do religion-hating athiests like to debate about religion so much?

Good question. I feel it is their way of trying to reinforce something they know deep inside is wrong and try and justify it through peers of similar thinking. In that they think there is no God, and think they can somehow feel better about it, and that they will not be judged for their life on earth. In the end it is a failure, but they keep trying.

For the reason "Jabberwock" said If people who WERE religious didn't veil their proselyzations in "questions" (you know, two screenfuls of "believe THIS" started out with a non-question like "Have you ever heard of miracles at Fatima?" and "this PROVES that I'm right" or "when the whole world converts to Islam will we have peace?"), I'm sure atheists wouldn't "hatefully attack" religions...

cause they want to belive they just havnt got their ?s answered right or have not found the truth but there spririt is searching to find its creater
