Why do so many things in movies and TV shows happen at the corner of

Hollywood and Vine? I always hear things like, "Meet me at the corner of Hollywood and Vine" or "It happened at Hollywood and Vine!"
What's special about this intersection?
I didn't say "songs", I said movies and TV shows.

I don't know either but it is not as glamourous as those "songs" or whatever make it out to be. Ive seen it personally.
I guess that is where celebrities hang out, I dont know for sure. I didn't see any celebrities while I was in Hollywood, they must have been hiding.

Actually, the corner of Hollywood and Vine is where a lot of the dreams have ended for those wanting to be in the movies. You propably will not see any stars there unless they are buying drugs or picking up a hooker.
