It's my favourite show and I think it's absolutely hilarious, and I cannot stop laughing whenever I watch it! But everyone I know hates it... Whenever I tell my friends about how funny it is, they say it's so boring and the worst show ever. I can't even understand why they would think that! But I think it's weird how one person can find something really funny when another hates it...
I'm talking about the US version.

The UK or US version?

Different kinds of humours, I guess. Like the Steve Carrel version relies a lot on the comedy of deadpan (the way he keeps a straight face whilst saying ridiculous things). Not everybody enjoys that kind of humour.

Then again, it could just be personal taste. Which is the reason why shows such as "Jersey Shore", "Home And Away" and "Dancing With The Stars" have several seasons under their belts, whilst other shows I actually do like have been cancelled (like "United States of Tara"). So there's that.

Because not everyone has an eye and a taste for that type of humor. Usually, from what I have noticed, people are very rushing into conclusions...not giving a small chance to something they have not experienced before.

Could be...

It's all about taste. Some people don't get wit. They prefer slapstick humour like "two and a half men". It's almost like toilet humour. It's easier to appreciate. Personally, I hate that show and really like "the office", I like how there's no laugh track so at the awkward moments it's made even more awkward and funny when the employees just look at the camera.

Everyone is different. Some people i know only hate it because Steve Carrell is in it and because he is always making the annoying joke 'that's what she said' ... You are refering the the American version and not the British right?
