Why do some uptight people say weed is as bad as cigarettes or even cocaine?

it's mostly really nerdy kids that say this too lol. i hate cigarettes because my parents hella smoke, but i smoke weed sometimes and it's way better than cigs. they're gross
 
I've smoked plenty of weed in my lifetime and it certainly is as bad for you as cigarettes. Inhaling smoke into your lungs is not good for you, be it from weed or cigarettes. I don't like cigarettes either but that does not make weed magically better. I call people that seem to live in this fantasy world where marijuana doesn't hurt your lungs or cause any kind of cancer "holy marijuana" believers. You need to do a bit of research into this, outside of pot websites, if you really believe that inhaling the fumes created from burning carbons is not going to cause any ill effects. Weed is not as bad for you as cocaine, but it isn't good for you either. I think spinach is gross too but it is far better for you than marijuana. Being gross and causing harm are not the same thing. If you mean because cigs make you cough harder that is because there are numbing agents in weed that keep you from coughing as hard and make it feel less harsh on the lungs. There is a similar agent found clove cigarettes which lead many to believe that clove cigarettes are not as bad for you as regular cigs, when in fact they are much worse for you than either marijuana or regular cigarettes. Smoking anything increases the risk of cancer. Vaporizing MAY lessen the effects but even then you are inhaling carbons and tar into your lungs. If you ever look at the resin when you are done smoking marijuana think about how much bad $hit is collecting in your lungs. How can you think that is doing no damage?

People that say weed is bad are probably those who think Reefer Madness was a realistic movie.

I hate cigarettes, too. I've tried it twice and never got the appeal of them. You literally have to force it until it starts feeling like..good, ya know? And cigs have a bunch of BS in it, weed is natural. You get more time in jail for possession of marijuana then killing an animal..Which is ridiculous.

That whole brain cell thing is BS.
THE biggest stoner I know, has been smoking it for like...4 years, has been an honor roll student going on 3 years.


Actually, cigs are worse for you then weed. Considering all of the chemicals they put in them. Not saying weed is GOOD for you, it does the same damage to your lungs but it does NOT cause a physical addiction and cancer.
