why does internet explorer stop responding immediately after coming on line?

internet explorer will not stay on line ,then the pop ups start telling me to work off line on that they are attempting to fix the problem which they never do

right click on internet icon and hit repair then hit refresh on the webpage.

go to add /remove programs in the control panel. find explorer, click remove select repair .
