dogs? I adopted a retired 2 y/o Shih Tzu from a breeder this past December. She was unable to deliver naturally and after a c-section they spayed her to be on the safe side. The first time I took her to the groomer, as he was bringing her in back where the other dogs where, she let out a huge scream. Yesterday I brought her over to my friends house and his grandaughter's pug was there. Well of course as soon as she walked into the house the pug went to check her out and again she screamed and I had to pick her up. Today I went back to that house with her and she pulled and didn't want to go in. It is not like she hasn't been around dogs as she did have one puppy. Anyone have any ideas? She is only 7 lbs but as long as I know a smaller dog is not going to hurt her, I would like her to play with them. I take her to petco with me all the time where dogs are welcomed and all around the store. As long as she is in my arms or in the basket, she just looks at them and she is fine. Could this by any chance have to do with her being bred? Did she maybe get hurt? I know nothing about breeding dogs, but if someone does can you tell me if it is possible that a bad experience would lead to her being so scared? Thank you.
