Why does my XBox 360 read Assassin's Creed 2 as a DVD?

ALL my other games work perfectly and until tonight, Assassin's Creed II worked fine too, but the last time I tried to play it, the XBox made a repetitive clicking sound and then called the game a DVD and I couldn't play it. I bought the game NEW and my other games still work, there are no scratches on the disc that I know of but everytime I put it in now, it calls it a DVD and won't let me play it! Help.

i have had 5 XBOX360s and none of them had the red RROD they all started doing what yours is doing eventually nothing will play at all. my brother the sad tw*t that he is actually sat there for 6 hours opening and closing the disk tray. i estimate you have about 6 months max play time out of it sorry for the bad news
