I'm specifically about the ds, I mean the original, ds lite, dsi, and the dsi xl. Why not just hold off on releasing a console to perfect it and it seems like a waste of time
They don't want the ps3 to steal something else. I really don't care if you call me a fanboy or what I play xbox 360 and I personally don't like the people that will be mad at me for replying to this. I like nintendo and I like the idea of the 3ds but I do think the wii could've been better.
Because ideas happen. Honestly, I highly doubt that if 3D hadn't gotten so popular in the time that the DS has existed, the 3DS wouldn't have happened. If a company just releases one perfect item, no one's gonna want to buy it, say, three years down the road. So they make some tweaks and adjustments and make it better. If companies just released one perfect item, we wouldn't have all these updated iPods, iPhones, and iPads some people so desperately cling to.
its not a waste of time if they are making money. all the video game companies release more than one version of their consoles. sony released like a whole bunch of SKUs of the PS3 and the PSP (1000, 2000, 3000, go). microsoft released a whole bunch of xbox 360s also,. when they release new things, it will attract people to buy more of it. so they will make money so it isn't a waste of time. time is money. and if they are making money, they aren't wasting time.
and they can't just release a perfect console just like that. they get new ideas and stuff so they make a new one later on.
