Why doesn't Mazda have a luxury car division like toyota's lexus, honda's...

...acura and nissan's infiniti? If Mazda offers no luxury vehicle, how then is it surviving? I don't think the company can last very long. Comfort and smooth engine is big priority
 
First you have to understand that the companies you mentioned, in their home country (Japan) the Acura is sold as Honda, the Lexus is a Toyota, and Infiniti is a Nissan. For example the Lexus IS models are called Toyota Altezza's in Japan, the Infinity G35/G37 were Nissan Skyline's in Japan, and the Acura RSX/Integra were sold as Honda Integra. I have a 08 Mazda CX-9 and we shopped for a SUV for about a month. We tested the Cadillac SRX, Porsche Cayanne, Subaru B9 tribeca, Lexus RX 440, BMW whatever, and others. By FAR the Mazda was the best in the field. We got the Grand Touring edition with a towing package, roof rails, navigation, and other things for $38,000 out the door BRAND NEW, keep in mind this has a 3rd row seat as well, and it still has cargo space.
