Why doesn't the US Open (Tennis) use tarp for its courts like baseball?

Hanging out in Flushing is fun, but not for 7 hours with no one playing a match!

A tarp would have only helped cut down maybe 30 minutes not the 7 hour wait.

You should be asking why they don't have a roof.
