Why doesn't yahoo answers have a section on shooting v. just hunting?

I actually saw a question similar to this a few days ago. The only thing I could figure is that it is not "politically correct" to say that a gun is not always to be used for "sporting" purposes.

I am not into political correctness, and the only hunting I would likely ever do (besides my fantasy trip to africa to take down africa's black death) would be to hunt down the individual who mistakenly picked my house to break into in the middle of the night.

It is like Obama's white house page that does not even list gun rights, but instead you have to go to the additional issues page where it is shown as "sportsmen."
 
Flammen woofer has a point. But Yahoo is liberal progressive for a fact. You can see it in how they handle news stories, who they donate cash to and how some of their monitors deal with things. You can see it in how they handle suggestions from the hunting section. Make no mistake they are bias. As far a pandering to nut cases just visit the religion section or relationships section. I’ve found places on answers where people were discussing sex in graphic detail that any little kid could read. I’ve found Muslim extremists saying inflammatory things in some sections as well as neo Nazis and other radicals. So why isn’t the PC people all over that?

I do thank Yahoo for the hunting section. But if they won’t make a section for air soft toys, how can you expect them to make a firearm section?
 
Despite what others will tell you, it's not because Yahoo is "anti gun". It's mainly an image thing.

Can you imagine the spin MSNBC would put on it?

"Internet giant creates gathering place for prospective mass-murderers to discuss their sick interests"

By lumping everything under "hunting" they can stay within the PC realm and still have a place for shooters to ask questions. If they were really anti-gun they'd make the hunting section hunting ONLY and remove general shooting questions altogether.

Don't blame Yahoo for wanting to play it safe. They want to make money, and that's a lot harder if you appease the general public.
