Sadly, because, they are so damned sure they are right. Not one of them can provide proof, but "belief" is all they need to think they know what they're talking about.
religion=inferior
Since black people are now equal to us, Religion is the new way of telling the difference between an inferior human from a superior one
Jesus says to love thy enemy and treat our neighbors as ourselves,
and that Hate is just as bad as murdering.
Thats why I don't offend people's beliefs.
But Atheists make up a vast majority of online religious debaters.. even thought they are a small majority of people on earth.
But that Just proves how proud they are. Proud is blinding people.
Wake up and smell the fresh coffee/tea .. people ridicule religions for a living.
I thumbs down people who say something stupid (even if they have the same beliefs I do), and I thumbs down people who say they are part of a religion I do not respect.
I'm not going to feign respect towards what I disrespect.
Do you think lies should be respected or corrected? If you "respect" a thing you elevate it to a level of importance it may not deserve. Respect ceases to have any meaning if you just give it to whatever with no examination.
Because their scriptures instruct them to believe that other religions = evil.
What's hard to understand about that?
Plus, if someone's religion is for the subjugation of women and branding of non-believers as 'corrupt', or for genital mutilation and stoning, or homophobia, or any other nonsense, then I will give it all the respect it is due.
I am atheist. I try to be as tolerant as possible towards other people and their beliefs. I personally also live in the Bible Belt of America and am bombarded by Christians. I use the term bombarded, and I tend to be less tolerant of Christians, because one of their most fundamental beliefs is "witnessing" and CONSTANTLY trying to convince those who do not have their beliefs to switch over to being Christian.
I find it offensive, and hard to return tolerance instead of resentment towards Christians as a whole.
this is my own personal experience
