Why don't the embedded divx subtitles appear on the ps3?

I've embedded the subtitles on the movie with "AviAddSubs" on pc & tested the result with the divx program and it worked , then on ps3 the subs appear in the option menu "1-English" , but when I select it they still don't appear ???
