Comic books,rolling stone,souvenir plates,cartoons,celebrity endorsements.
Is someone trying to make Americans believe he is the next saviour "the one" "the messiah"?
I think we're being played. Someone's trying to get us to become so in love with this state senator that when he and the congress take advantage of us and kill more of our freedoms, we won't even notice.
Is everyone brainwashed by the corrupt media? If the media got him nominated, then something bad this way comes.
 
I agree with that^^ he is seen as a hero/celebrity because people were tired of Bush and ready for a change. I even see that he is portrayed in this way all over the world. I am currently living in Germany and I hear more about American politics than i do about german politics. all i heard on the radio, in the newspaper, and tv today was the inaugaration. they are extremely excited about the new president over here. in my opinion he is portrayed like this mainly because it is the biggest change US has seen in a while and since many things are in poor shape right now (economy/jobs/unemployment, plus the war) people think that he the THE ONE to do something good.
 
I echo your views. It pains me to see Americans become sheep. They bought into this hype of Obama.
And frankly, if all of those over paid for doing nothing 'celebrities' are talking up Obama, than that is reason enough to know he is over hyped.

Destiny - Um, you obviously dont have much of a clue. If Obama is so "brilliant" as you put it, then tell me. What has the man accomplished before running for President. Im dying to know. Because I have actually done the research instead of listening to no-nothing celebs and the liberal media.....he has never done anything. He promises hope and change.
Excuse me? Hope and change? How so? By having an Inaug. that costs $170 million?! By inviting the super rich so called stars? He has NEVER brought hope and change to anyone before, and now we're suppose to believe that he is this great being that is going to fix the worlds problems???!!!

Obama is hype and has been for a while. The media got behind him and was his biggest supporter helping him get elected. Same with the idiotic celebs, who in case some of you dont know, dont care about you. They care about your attention and the hard earned money in your pocket.
 
Because at this point we are completely sick of Bush and see Obama as a breath of fresh air, a much needed breath of fresh air.

Good riddance to that monkey Bush
