Why is it important to introduce Christianity to other parts of the world?

I am doing a project on the impacts of Christianity around the world. I was wondering if you could give me some ideas on why it is important to introduce Christianity to other parts of the world. Please have the source(s) that you used to find this answer.

It's the only way to achieve world domination.
 
It isn't. It's actually rather horrid to go in and destroy other cultures.
 
It reduces the chance that your children will be exposed to other beliefs.
 
God commands us to. Search the new testament for when Jesus tells the apostles to go into the world, etc. Your homework is supposed to get you to search out the answers yourself. The bible is available online and is searchable.
