This is not made too cause offence!
A lot of British TV shows are American now days, yet American's do not have that many British shows and if they do they are remade to suit there humour.
If we don't have shows remade to give us a bit of culture awareness and understanding why do they?
We have been taught American humour through shows such as friends. Why is it that hard to understand?
NO OFFENCE INTENDED
*Yeah everyone here understands American humour as Americans shows are all that are played when you have SKY etc.

I understand it well, But I mean, Do you guys understand American humour?

It's kinda like a countering thing I guess.

americans change everything not just comedy, it seems they dont like the english language either, its like al murray said "America, a good idea but its gotten outta hand" lol

i dont think american shows r hard to understand like two and half men lol

charlie sheen was perfect for that

not sure about this but here goes,i think americans are lazy with their humour, they dont generally want humour that makes them think, they use canned laughter to remind them to laugh, english speakers this side of atlantic are more creatative with the language.also i find we are more self deprecating, yanks have a problem with that

Because British irony and sarcasm isn't that used/understood in American humour, whereas it is very common on British television. The true English language is much more in depth than the American-English counterpart.

I guess because British humour is real dry, they just seem so serious when they crack a joke? I find it funny, different but I like it
