Either that or its just overheating but it only shuts off for a few seconds at a time. Anyway, here's the setup; from my battery I have a 5 ga power wire to a fuse about 6 in away then continuing to the trunk it leads to a Scosche 500k Cap. I also have a 6 ga ground screwed into my car leading to the Cap. From the Cap I have a 2 ga power and ground leading to a 1000w Kenwood (I'm not sure what all this is but its also on it; 170w RMS x 2 at 4 Ohms + <= 1% THD+N) and from there are 2 10" Sony Explodes bridged and in my car behind my front seats. Also...I know I should probably scratch the paint off to the ground but is this the problem? Or is it because its bridged? I figured my amp could handle it. Thanks for any help. Almost forgot, my 2 ga wires are cut down, quite a bit actually. Could this be the problem?
