Why is my PS3 internet connection suddenly weak?

My PS3 internet connection used to have a 100% signal strength almost 100% of the time since I had bought it four months ago. Now it stinks. Now it usually ranges from 50%-80%. What the hell? I can't play my games online for shit.
And this has been going on for nearly two weeks.
