Why is Prez. Barack Obama being compared to Abraham Lincoln?

BHO hasn't even been president for a month and already libs r claiming he's the next Abe Lincoln. Obama hasn't even done anything so far in office besides naming a few cabinet members and getting his crappy unstimulus plan approved by Congress and the Senate. Please no answers about race, I want reasons y the 2 apparently have a parallel connection. Why are members of the media praising BHO as the next Lincoln when the too had very different political ideologies?

Both From Illinois. Both have to do with Black and White issues
 
Lincoln was a Republican racist. Obama is a Democrat Liberal who wants a socialist state. They are night and day. Lincoln was from IL and Obama from Hawaii.
