Most people know the 1969 Dodge Charger from the TV show, "The Dukes of Hazzard". I'll admit that the car was the main reason I watched that show, but never knew it was actually one of several Chargers used because it was easily wrecked from all the jumping, flying, and landings those cars did on that show. I actually rode in a Dodge Charger back in the 1970s as a kid. It belonged to my uncle. From just looking at it, the car does look somewhat like a racing car, but it also does have a certain aura to it. The much newer 2006 or 2008 Dodge Charger does not have the same effect. Other than the name, there's nothing about it that reminds me of the 1969 classic. How did it get to be such an iconic muscle car? I'd even pick a 1969 Dodge Charger over a Ford Mustang if they raced against each other.
