Why is the New Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Cheap?

i bought mine the day it came out for £30 a month for 18 months. which adds up to £580.
but now i looked on ebay its £219 ?
why is this?
(the phone came out on april 1st)

Because its relatively shite.
It hardly had any outstanding features apart from the gameing thing, which to be honest wasnt very good.
