So I installed Windows Vista on my C drive (Primary, Active), then I decided to install Windows XP on my D drive (Primary) right afterwards.

So i knew that this would destroy the something related to the booting of Vista. Windows XP is working fine.

So i found there's Vista Boot Pro and Easy BCD to help restore Vista's boot manager or vice versa. unfortunately, i dont know why but i followed the instructions and when i restore vista's boot manager, and add an entry for windows xp it says "NTLDR is missing"

for now I'm booting into windows XP and using easy bcd to restore vista's boot manager so i can boot into there, and then restoring Xp's when i wanna get into XP but both cant coexist in the same boot manager! :S

I even tried Grub (from an Ubuntu cd) and it wont help fix windows boot manager, itll just add the entry for it, which is just a link to that NTLDR thing.

I tried the following two links:

i had this problem ages ago, copy and paste a standard ntldr file in c: drive reboot and done!
