why my boat motor shuts off after about 20min?

2002-2003 90HP Johnson 2 stroke motor. my boat motor shuts down after about 20 min and i don't know why. i have to let it sit for a few min and the it will start again but not for long before it shuts down again.
after the eng shuts down the fuel bulb stays hard. and i know that the fuel pump is working because i can see the fuel. i m not sure but i think that it may be some kind of over heat sensor.. i sorry if i sound dum but please help..
 
If U have spark to the spark plugs .2 things to check Check the vent on the fuel tank or open the gas cap and try that.And the connection on the gas tank and engine as the o ring leaks and starve the engine for gas. When it dies does the primer bulb go soft or collapse?
