why my Divx web player makes my whole internet stop ?

everytime i wanna see a Divx video the whole browser stops working. and i have to force to close it, btw im using google chrome but it makes the same error with internet explore. what should i do ???

my computer is new. and i have everything updated and my antivirus aviras. what is the problem with Divx web player ??

i had a similar(not same) problem with it, was laggin me out
i disabled the auto update not from within the divx menu preferences that didnt seem to work it was still starting
i use a tool called ccleaner you can safely download at cnet..com it has a section under tools called startup you can stop programs from starting at startup

you can do this from services within windows also but ccleaner makes it simpler no searching
plus ccleaner will help clean up old junk files on your comp
