Why not introduce IQ tests for driving Licences?

In NSW Australia our road toll is already high ... eventually they will debate over what to do...why not introduce IQ tests as it is perfectly obvious that some people do not have the intelligence required to use our roads .
Some people struggle with the concept of.... STOP GIVE WAY . Some do not have the Intelligence to understand DON"T DRINK AND DRIVE . I really think Iq tests are the way to go
 
The reason IQ tests would not be any good is that intelligence does not equal aptitude. Look up what I just said and go from there.
 
Because none of the politicos would ever get to drive?
 
same should be asked for police officers,iq tests,personality test and DRUG testing.
 
How about for voting, buying a house, buying a car? IQ does not equate to ability it is a motor function not a brain application duh!!!!!!!!!!
