why wasn't I invited? venting here... but advice would help?

Ok so one of my best friends (or so i thought) birthday is coming up. IN FRONT of me she told another friend of ours that she was invited, but she didn't invite me. She also invited some other kids who (i thought) she wasn't as close to. It actually made me feel really hurt... I didn't know she was like that. I actually thought she was one of the nicest people I had ever met, but that was really just mean of her to invite people to her birthday party and leave others out. What should I do or feel? How can I deal with this?

Is it possible that she thought she invited you, or that you would just assume you were invited? If not I would keep being her friend, but start making new friends.

Maybe she just want to attract attention, showing you how she can survive without you.
This normally means an end of a friendship. inviting someone else to her party infront of you? that's already challenging your friendship with her.
forget about her, and move on, you would find better friends than someone like that.
i hate people like that, and i have experienced it. the more i tried to stick on to her, the worst she treated me.
its just a nicer way of telling you get out of my life.

confront her. tell her how you feel. if she doesnt have the courtesy to at least hear you out, then i wouldnt be calling her my friend. just sayin.
