why wont divx let me play avi files on sony vegas pro 8?

First i had a problem where i cant see any avi files on sony vegas pro 8, so reading other yahoo answers. i downloaded divx... and i still cant view the avi files. HELP please!
 
You need to download klite codec pack you don't have the proper codec's to view avi files.
