Why won't guys come forward & ask me out or tell me they are interested in me???

i'm very popular...i'm outgoing & have a lot of friends who always tell me that I'm the sweetest person they ever met, that i'm beautiful, that i'm kind-hearted...& i feel like i'm good with the guys too...i know they def. really like me on a basic level as a person & know i'm a genuinely good girl, but sometimes i feel the heat & have a feeling that they like me more than that...but none of them has ever asked me out or told me how they felt...WHY? what am i doing wrong? how could i step it up?
