Why wont my 1997 chevy malibu's radio wont work. ?

I have a 1997 chevy malibu and my radio doesn't work. My buttons light up, but nothing else works. The clock time wont even show up... so I tryed going though all the fuses (small ones only) and they are just fine. I looked at the ones under the hood, and on both sides of the doors. Everythings in place and none of them are blown. I even took the radio out and tryed putting another factory one in, but still no luck. It was working till I got a new battery (the radio was off when I took the battery out). Does anyone know what the problem could be?
