Why won't my Action Replay DSi work on my Nintendo DSi?

I bought both the DSi system and Action Replay DSi and used it for Pokemon Soul Silver. I checked off all the codes that I wanted to use, but when I started the game, none of them worked. I also entered the code for cloning pokemon. Nor did that work either. What am I doing wrong?
