why would people dislike a 1999 mitsubishi eclipse rs?

I own a black one myself, fully paid, automatic, in tip top condition, with 130,000 miles (a little bit under but close). It is otherwise totally stock besides the ninja-style mitsubishi star rims that came with it. super clean interior too, like it just rolled out the factory. i have never had any mechanical problems with it other than the required preventative things you have to do with any other car (brakes, oil changes, coolant, car washes, etc..) but why would people say its a bad car and that i should get a GSX instead? other than the infamous head gasket oil leak, (which was inexpensive to fix anyway), i have never had any major/heavy repairs! why does the 420a engine get such a bad reputation? its extremely stable and reliable and for an automatic, it picks up speed FAST! it doesnt break down or anything. what exactly do people say is wrong with this engine and car? i love my eclipse! where i live, im one of the only people who owns an eclipse.

oh yea and does this car normally get alot of stares where they are found everywhere? i get stared at alot when im driving. im not doing anything wrong or illegal or gross or whatever. are they good or bad stares? just curious lol

yea, its pretty much all because it has a 420a and its not turbo, alot of people call it the "undercover neon" because it has the same engine as the dodge neons. but i dont think theres nothing wrong with an rs. i own an RS and a GST. i use the RS to commute, because its very reliable and economic with gas prices now and days. to be honest, ive had more mechanical problems with my GST then what ive had with the RS. some advice, dont go out and put a body kit, a big ass spoiler, and make it all riced out. keep the modifications clean and to a minimum or you will get alot of haters.
