Wi-Fi help with my Blackberry pearl 8220 smartphone for T-mobile?

I have had this phone for about 2 weeks an I am running it off my wireless router for the Wi-Fi calling because I do not have very good reception at my home. But the Wi-Fi keeps going in an out on the phone. Even when im standing right at the router, does anyone know how I can make the Wi-Fi signal in prove? Thanks.
