Wife and I arguing about our son and playing sports...?

We live out here in Pennsylvania, and I enrolled our 12 year old son in a fantastic football program! It is the best... since, he's joined, he's gotten money, a laptop and free tickets to every game! Plus the coach gives him LOTS of one on one attention... I mean, he spends days at time at the coaches house, and when he's not there the coach is always calling for him!

For some reason my wife thinks that this is a bad idea... why? Is it because she is over-protective and thinks that her little boy is gonna get hurt playing football? how do I make her see that she is baby-ing him too much.
 
Still not funny.

I'm hoping the day never comes when references to child anal rape are humorous.
 
I would not allow a child to be a coach for long periods of time..children should be home wth their own parents..
